Suzy

Some good news:

Suzy went missing just before Christmas 2009. She was subsequently found in Tarmonbarry, County Roscommon and brought into Roscommon Animals on 23 Dec. 2009, who then kindly took fantastic care of her.

She was vaccinated and wormed as well as being kept fed/watered/warmed. Suzy was reunited with us on 4 …Jan. 2010 and we are eternally grateful to all concerned at Roscommon Animals and all those involved in the welfare of Suzy.

Thank you for bringing her back to us.

    roscommonanimals.com is the online home of Roscommon SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). We are a non-profit organisation run by people who volunteer their time. We look out for the care and protection of animals in County Roscommon.

    We believe that animals should have

    * Freedom from hunger, thirst and malnutrition

    * Freedom from discomfort

    * Freedom from disease and injury

    * Freedom to behave normally

    * Freedom from distress and fear

    Many thanks to the Department of Agriculture, from whom we have just received a generous grant of 10,000 euro (Dec. 2009), we are indeed very grateful for this. Without that money the Society would not be able to cope. We have received a grant from the Department for the past few years. Unfortunately though, we still have to do a huge amount of fundraising in order to keep going. We use private boarding kennels for the rescued dogs, and this, and vet bills cost a lot of money.
