Have you seen Lucy?

April 27th, 2009

Lucy is a dark brindle lurcher female, spayed and microchipped, missing from Enfield Co.Meath since 13th April.  She was quite plump (for a lurcher) when she went missing, she also has an overshot jaw. Her 4 brothers (all rescue dogs) miss her terribly.  If you have seen Lucy please contact Lorna at 086 1914815

    roscommonanimals.com is the online home of Roscommon SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). We are a non-profit organisation run by people who volunteer their time. We look out for the care and protection of animals in County Roscommon.

    We believe that animals should have

    * Freedom from hunger, thirst and malnutrition

    * Freedom from discomfort

    * Freedom from disease and injury

    * Freedom to behave normally

    * Freedom from distress and fear

    Many thanks to the Department of Agriculture, from whom we have just received a generous grant of 10,000 euro (Dec. 2009), we are indeed very grateful for this. Without that money the Society would not be able to cope. We have received a grant from the Department for the past few years. Unfortunately though, we still have to do a huge amount of fundraising in order to keep going. We use private boarding kennels for the rescued dogs, and this, and vet bills cost a lot of money.
