—RE-HOMED—

Monet is getting back on his paws well and is starting to regain his confidence. He seems to interact well with the other cats in his foster home but is still shy of human contact at present - but this is being worked on! For more information go to homes needed

Have you seen Cleo?

May 11th, 2009

Cleo is a spaniel/Labrador cross but has more of a spaniel look about her.  She is 6 years old and went missing from the South Tipperary area on 22nd April 2009.  Cleo is mainly black with some white under her chin and chest area, with a little on her paws.  She is neutered and had an old red collar on her with silver bones embedded on it when last seen.  She is a very friendly girl and is sadly missed by her family.

If anyone has any information regarding Cleo please contact 087-2527395.  A reward will be given upon her safe return.

    roscommonanimals.com is the online home of Roscommon SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). We are a non-profit organisation run by people who volunteer their time. We look out for the care and protection of animals in County Roscommon.

    We believe that animals should have

    * Freedom from hunger, thirst and malnutrition

    * Freedom from discomfort

    * Freedom from disease and injury

    * Freedom to behave normally

    * Freedom from distress and fear

    Many thanks to the Department of Agriculture, from whom we have just received a generous grant of 10,000 euro (Dec. 2009), we are indeed very grateful for this. Without that money the Society would not be able to cope. We have received a grant from the Department for the past few years. Unfortunately though, we still have to do a huge amount of fundraising in order to keep going. We use private boarding kennels for the rescued dogs, and this, and vet bills cost a lot of money.
