BuddyBuddy

Buddy is approximately six months old, he has now been neutered and vaccinated and wants a good home to care for him. Buddy turned up at a lady’s door one Sunday evening and whilst he had chosen an excellent home to visit, she already had her hands full with dogs of her own amongst many other pets.

URGES PEOPLE TO GET THEIR CATS NEUTERED OR SPAYED WITHOUT DELAY

Any day now cats will be in season and producing kittens in April or May. This will apply to kittens born last autumn or before.  Cats have two or three litters in a year.

The number of unwanted and neglected cats in this country, and the cruelty involved, is outrageous.

Please don’t add to the problem this year.

Neutering or spaying is a straightforward procedure.

Your local veterinary surgery will advise you.

    CHY 18790

    roscommonanimals.com is the online home of Roscommon SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). We are a non-profit organisation run by people who volunteer their time. We look out for the care and protection of animals in County Roscommon.

    We believe that animals should have

    * Freedom from hunger, thirst and malnutrition

    * Freedom from discomfort

    * Freedom from disease and injury

    * Freedom to behave normally

    * Freedom from distress and fear

    Many thanks to the Department of Agriculture, from whom we have just received a generous grant of 10,000 euro (Dec. 2009), we are indeed very grateful for this. Without that money the Society would not be able to cope. We have received a grant from the Department for the past few years. Unfortunately though, we still have to do a huge amount of fundraising in order to keep going. We use private boarding kennels for the rescued dogs, and this, and vet bills cost a lot of money.
