Jack and Ellie have become good friends since sharing a foster home together, but now need to find permanent home(s).

jackp1Jack is approximately 3 months old, he is a whippet/lurcher cross who was found in a dreadful state, starved and badly dehydrated and had to be rushed to Innishfree Hospital as he was not expected to survive. but he did and as you can see he is lovely…he is very friendly and good with cats.

He has been vaccinated, wormed and defleaed and is almost house-trained.

elliep3Ellie is a young spaniel/setter cross who was rescued from the pound having been found wandering around Roscommon, she has been in foster care since and is responding well. She has been vaccinated, wormed and defleaed and undergoing house-training. Ellie is a very good listener who should be easily trained. She plays well with Jack – they are both bundles of fun.

If you can offer Jack and/or Ellie the home they deserve please contact us on 087 0505594

    roscommonanimals.com is the online home of Roscommon SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). We are a non-profit organisation run by people who volunteer their time. We look out for the care and protection of animals in County Roscommon.

    We believe that animals should have

    * Freedom from discomfort

    * Freedom from disease and injury

    * Freedom to behave normally

    * Freedom from distress and fear

    Many thanks to the Department of Agriculture, from whom we have just received a generous grant of 10,000 euro (Dec. 2009), we are indeed very grateful for this. Without that money the Society would not be able to cope. We have received a grant from the Department for the past few years. Unfortunately though, we still have to do a huge amount of fundraising in order to keep going. We use private boarding kennels for the rescued dogs, and this, and vet bills cost a lot of money.
